John Wiclif Biography

John Wiclif (c.1320-1384). An English reformer, often called the Morning Star of the Reformation. In his two treatises, De Dominio Divino and De Civili Dominio, Wiclif questioned the authority of the Church.  Wiclif made a systematic attempt to translate the whole Bible into English, now known as Wiclif's Bible.
